Tour and Dinner

Monday, April 24, 2017
4:30 PM

As part of the conference, you will visit the Richard F. Caris Mirror Lab on the campus of the University of Arizona.  In the Mirror Lab, scientists and engineers are making giant, lightweight mirrors of unprecedented power for a new generation of optical telescopes. You will enjoy a film on mirror casting before heading off to the Lab for the 30-45 minute tour.  There will be some time for questions. The Mirror Lab’s website includes all sorts of information about the Lab, so take some time to read about the Lab by visiting the website or downloading a brochure. Following the tour of the Lab, you will take a five minute walk to the Stadium Club where you will enjoy cocktails and dinner.

The bus will leave the Westward Look Wyndham Grand Resort & Spa about 4:30 PM to arrive to the University about 5:00 PM.  Our schedule will be flexible, but in general the bus will leave the University between 8:30 PM – 9:00 PM to head back to the Westward Look.
