Sightseeing

With over 350 days of sunshine each year, the weather in Tucson is perfect for lots of outdoor activities like horseback riding and hiking.  National parks and forests and the desert provide opportunities to explore the finest nature has to offer! Tucson has a very U. S. western feel, including U.S. Mexican and Native American influences. The University of Arizona provides a college-town atmosphere, while the city offers a fine array of museums and dining, shopping and a world-class golf resort.

Beyond Tucson, even though over a 5-hour drive, the Grand Canyon is one of nature’s most wondrous sights!  If you’re that close to the this spectacular sight, you might consider taking a few extra days beyond the conference to explore this U. S. National Park.

In April, you can expect high temperatures of about 82°F (28°C) and low temperatures of about 55°F (13°C) in Tucson, and about a 96% chance of sunny skies! If you decide to go hiking, be sure to take plenty of water and a hat.
