Presenter Guidelines

ASPE will hold sessions on Monday, April 24, 2017 and Tuesday, April 25, 2017. Sessions will take place in the Quail Room of the Westward Look Wyndham Grand Resort & Spa.

ASPE will have a conference computer and the AV technician will be able to load each presentation on this computer in advance of your talk if you choose to do so. If you prefer, you can bring your own computer in to make your presentation. Please be sure to bring all cables for your computer, particularly if it is a Mac.  It is always a good idea to have a back-up of your presentation stored somewhere other than your computer – on a USB memory stick, for example.

The format of the meeting will be very informal and relaxed – workshop format.  There will be plenty of time for discussion and speaker changes, so loading your presentation in the half-hour before the session starts should be sufficient.  Business casual attire is appropriate for all participants, including speakers.

The presentations will be in 4:3 format, with a 3.5K lumen LCD projector, projecting on a 9 feet x 12 feet screen.  You can refer to the Power Point Guidelines for general information on preparing Power Point presentations for large-scale viewing.

Please refer to your acceptance e-mail sent on Thursday, March 2 for the exact length of your presentation time and question and answer period.  A timer will aid the speaker in keeping track of the presentation time, although, the environment is informal and some deviation from the prescribed time is acceptable.
