Presenter Guidelines

ASPE will hold sessions on Monday, April 24, 2017 and Tuesday, April 25, 2017. Sessions will take place in the Quail Room of the Westward Look Wyndham Grand Resort & Spa.

ASPE will have a conference computer and the AV technician will load each presentation on this computer well in advance of your talk.  As time gets closer to the meeting, ASPE will establish dates and times for speakers to arrive to load his/her presentation on the conference computer. This will be the opportunity for you to test your presentation to make sure all imbedded videos run appropriately, as well as your whole presentation.  This is also your opportunity to become familiar with the AV equipment. If you are able, it is a good idea to bring your own computer in case your presentation does not run on the conference computer. It is always a good idea to have a back-up of your presentation stored somewhere other than your computer – on a USB memory stick, for example.

Specifications about formatting your Power Point will be posted at a later date as soon a the projector specifications are available.  In the meantime, refer to the Power Point Guidelines for general information on preparing Power Point presentations for large-scale viewing.

Please refer to your acceptance e-mail sent on Thursday, March 2 for the exact length of your presentation time and question and answer period.  A timer will aid the speaker in keeping track of the presentation time.

The 4-6 page extended abstract in electronic format (.pdf file) is due on Friday, March 24.  Please refer to the ASPE Extended Abstract Template to assist you in preparing the 4-6 page abstract.  Adherence to this deadline is extremely important because the Proceedings book cannot be finalized until all papers have been submitted.
